Iran wants better economic ties with West

The Iranian government seems to be now interested in working out a easy deal with the Western world, may be due to the realization that going against the western world is bad for the economy. The neighboring country Saudi Arabia is nearly five to six times richer than Iran, only because of cordial relationship with the Western world.
Now Iran is working out major relaxation in the nuclear deal in order to appease the western world.

US Insurance industry might thwart Obama’s Health plan

Bill Clinton tried to reform the health care industry in 1990, but the US Insurance industry was able to easily push the government to scrap the plan. And George Bush decided not to pursue it with same vigor and the health care industry was thriving with huge profits with less care for patients.
Now Obama wants to change that and he is pushing extra-ordinary efforts to pass the health care reforms, but the US insurance is again getting into a nasty anti-bill campaign. Obama is upset with that and has even threatened the industry with the withdrawal of the Anti-trust protections and other governmental support, if it does not stop the mud slinging campaign against the government efforts.

Japan may end “Afghan Mission”

Japan is a key ally to US and all the major military decisions of Japan are based on advice from US. Accordingly Japan decided to participate in the anti-terror mission in Afghanistan, by enabling re-fueling of US and NATO forces in Afghanistan. The Afghan mission has been continuing for the last eight years, and it comes up for renewal by the Japanese government in January 2010.
The new Japanese government has decided not to renew the Afghan mission, and instead has decided to work out some other way of helping the US forces in Afghanistan. The new Japanese government seems to be having enough confusion on the issue.
